28th APEC Chemical Dialogue – February 17-18, 2022

CICM, represented by members from the Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Care Committees, as well as the Executive Director and the Secretariat participated in the virtual meeting held over two days. The Malaysian delegation also comprised representatives from MITI, DOSH and MPA.

The Chemical Dialogue (CD) was co-chaired by Chile (Industry) and the US (Government) and attended by 18 APEC economies, with more than 100 participants. Thailand as host country welcomed and briefed participants on the theme “Open.Connect.Balance” and its priorities for APEC meetings this year. The CD mainly deliberated on matters and projects related to marine debris and sustainability, regulatory co-operation and convergence, GHS implementation and data exchange.
