26th AMEICC WGCI Meeting – August 26, 2021

CICM, represented by the Regulatory Affairs Committee and the Secretariat; participated in the above-mentioned meeting hosted by Vietnam. The Malaysian delegation also comprised representatives from MITI, MIDA, DOSH and KASA. During the meeting, ASEAN member states together with Japan shared the current status of their chemical industry, including chemical management and carbon neutrality policies / related regulations. Japan also shared an update on the 3-year action plan focusing on labor safety and operational safety while Singapore shared the progress made, as well as activities to date on the ASEAN Regulatory Co-operation Project (ARCP).
