CICM Responsible Care Run 2018 - August 19, 2018

The annual run held at Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam attracted close to 1,000 runners comprising CICM members, Responsible Care signatories, and the public.

It was organized in line with the aspirations of Responsible Care’s Community Awareness and Emergency Response Code, which requires chemical companies and the chemical industry to communicate with all stakeholders on its safety, health and environmental efforts, including the general public.

This was the 9th run by CICM and it comprised various categories; the Men and Women Open, Men and Women Veteran, Men Junior Veteran and Senior Veteran, covering distances of 21 km, 10 km and 5 km respectively. Twelve (12) teams from CICM member companies also competed in the special corporate category of 10km and 5km, where Linde Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Palm-Oleo Sdn Bhd emerged as champions for the respective categories.

The run continued to receive generous support and corporate sponsorships from chemical companies whom are CICM member companies.
