The Trade Representative Office of the Russian Federation in Malaysia has requested for an introductory meeting with CICM to discuss prospective areas of Malaysia - Russia co-operation where one of the sectors of interest is the chemical sector. 

 

In light of the 2^nd Meeting of Malaysia - Russia Working Group on Co-operation in Industry and Trade held in November 2025 in Kuala Lumpur hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) - the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Malaysia viewed that it is timely to continue the constructive dialogue and explore avenues of bilateral co-operation with the chemical industry in Malaysia. Areas of discussion will focus on industry priorities, potential joint initiatives and practical steps to further strengthen co-operation between both countries.
